AMRITSAR GUIDE values your privacy, and we only accumulate the minimum amount of information required to operate the AMRITSAR GUIDE service.
Rights
Your trip settings are saved on your phone. We don't keep any records of your trip settings on our servers, apart from the transient request logs mentioned below. When you view a trip, the app/website needs to communicate some details to the AMRITSAR GUIDE servers to request real-time data. This typically involves the list of routes and stops that are related to your trip. All information between the app/website and our servers are encrypted. The AMRITSAR GUIDE servers keep logs of all questions for security and diagnostic prospects. These logs include the IP address of every request but are contrarily anonymous. Request logs are automatically deleted daily. If you use the app/website to send an email to AMRITSAR GUIDE Support, you will have the right to include your trip settings as an attachment. We will only use this information for troubleshooting, and it will be deleted on request.
Analytics
AMRITSAR GUIDE uses Google Firebase assistance to collect anonymous usage information, including the number of active users, device models, and operating system variants. We also use a third-party service to accumulate crash reports. These reports are employed to diagnose and fix crashes. They do not including personal information.
Advertising
The free version of AMRITSAR GUIDE comprises advertisements provided by third-party advertising services. These advertising services may use the advertising ID from the device to present personalized ads. They may also use the current location of the device to provide location-based advertising.
PERMISSIONS REQUIRED FOR USING OUR MOBILE APP/WEBSITELICATION
When the Amritsar Guide app/website is installed on your phone or tablet, a list of permissions for appears and is needed for the app/website to function effectively. There is no option to customize the list. The permissions that Amritsar Guide requires and the data that shall be accessed and its use are as below:
Android and IOS Permissions:
Device & App/website history: We need your device permission to get information about your device, like OS (operating system) name, OS version, mobile network, hardware model, unique device identifier, preferred language, etc. Basis these inputs, we intend to optimize your App/website experience, use OS specific capabilities to drive great in-funnel experiences using components of the device’s OS, etc.
Identity: This permission enables us to know about the details of your account(s) on your mobile device. We use this info to auto-fill your email ID’s and present a typing free in-funnel experience. It helps us map email ID’s to a particular user to give you the benefit of exclusive travel offers, wallet cash-backs, etc. It also permits promoting your Facebook and Google+ login.
Location: This permission enables us to give you the benefit of location-specific deals and provide you with a personalized in-funnel experience. When you launch the Amritsar Guide app/website to make a travel booking, we auto-detect your location so that your nearest airport or city is auto-filled. We also need this permission to suggest your most adjacent hotels in case you are running late and want to make a fast last minute booking for the nearest hotel. Your options are personalized basis your locations.
SMS: If you allow us to access your SMS, we read your SMS to auto fill or pre-populate ‘OTP’ to validate your mobile number.
Phone: The app/website needs access to make phone calls so that you can make phone calls to hotels, customer contact centers directly through the app/website.
Contacts: If you allow us to obtain your contacts, it enables us to provide a lot of social features to you. This data will be stored on our servers and synced from your phone.
Photo/ Media/ Files: The libraries in the app/website use these agreements to allow map data to be delivered to your phone's external storage, like SD cards. By saving map data locally, your phone doesn't need to re-download the identical map data every time you use the app/website. This presents you with a seamless Map based Hotel selection experience, even on a low bandwidth network.
Wi-Fi connection information: When you allow us the authority to detect your Wi-Fi connection, we optimize your experience such as more listing on maps, better image loading etc.
Notifications: If you are opt-in for notifications, it enables us to send across exclusive deals, promotional offers, travel-related updates, etc. on your device.
Bluetooth: An app would like to use Bluetooth for certain audio functions. When you allow us the authority to use Bluetooth, we optimize your experience accordingly.
Contacts: If you are opt-in for contacts support, it allows us to provide a lot of social features to you such as sharing your hotel/ flight/ holidays with your friends, inviting your friends to try our app/website, send over referral links to your friends, etc. We will also use this data to make suggestions for hotels where your friends have stayed. This data will be stored on our servers and synced from your phone.
Location: This license enables us to give you the benefit of location-specific deals and present you with a personalized in-funnel experience.

We may renew this privacy policy from time to time, under our internal policies, technological developments, industry practices, or applicable laws and regulations. If we make any alterations to our privacy policy, we will post the updated version here, so do review it frequently. If important changes are made, we may also inform you by other means, such as, but not limited to, notification by email or on our app/website.
