Haveli
Haveli is a nice place where one can unwind in the surrounding open fields. Only Vegetarian food is served here. It is perfect place for anyone who wants to experience rustic Punjabi life. The food is served in traditional utensils usually made of brass. The music, played in the background, is mostly old Punjabi folk songs. Waiters can be seen wearing traditional Punjabi Kurta Pajama. It also gives an insight into the cultural heritage of Punjab, having conventional chairs, statues of women holding Pakhi (Hand Fan), and old well. Haveli not only please taste-buds, but also makes them experience a whole range of activities such as, pottery and Bioscope.
The traditional way of making utensils and posturing mud and clay on potter’s wheel is also showcased in a very simple and traditional manner by performances. Sometimes Marasis (an old art form of Punjab Street performance) where two to four men converse each other in a jovial and entertaining manner is also performed. They use different instruments to add humour to the act and generally use the local sarcastic dialects to get attention. It is the best tourist attraction especially for people coming from other states of India and Abroad. Horse/bullock/camel/tractor are displayed here. A must visit destination to take a tour of Punjab within one place.
