Situated at the heart of the city Amritsar, Shree Bada Hanuman Mandir is a Hindu Temple of Lord Hanuman. It is believed that after the Ashwamegh Yagya, the horse was captured by Luv and Kush. When Hanuman went forward to release the horse, Luv and Kush, two sons of Lord Ram, tied him with the tree. The Mandir is built at the same spot. Every year many devotees come here dressed as Langoor (monkey). The event is also known as Langoor Mela in Amritsar. In this Mandir, one can notice the statue of Lord Hanuman in resting position. It is at the Northwestern corner of Durgiana Temple.
