Dukh Bhanjani Beri is the most sacred and historic Beri-(Jujube) tree in Sri Harmandir Sahib Complex. Apart from Baba Buddha Ji, this Beri has great connection with Bibi Rajni Ji, daughter of Duni Chand Khatri, a rich landlord of the Patti Town. Duni Chand had five daughters and all were beautiful and talented. There is a story connected with Bibi Rajni. Once his arrogant father Duni Chand asked his daughters; "Tell me who provides you food and shelter?" The elder four daughters readily gave credit to their father, but the youngest daughter, Bibi Rajni replied, "It is the God that provides everything to us". Her father got very angry and married Rajni to a leper teach her a lesson. Rajni accepted the leper as her husband. The excavation and the construction work of Amrit Sarovar was under process. Bibi Rajni took her husband and reached Amritsar. She joined other devotees and cooked meals in the common kitchen.
One day Bibi Rajni left her husband under the Ber Tree and went to the community kitchen to bring food. The story goes that her husband saw colour of black crow changing to white and he crawled to the pond and came out, hale and healthy and he was no longer a leper. This Beri became famous for its miraculous healing power.
