Situated 11 Km away from the Amritsar at Lopoke Road, Bhagwan Valmiki Tirath Sthal is a Temple dedicated to Maharishi Valmiki Ji. It is famous place of Mahararishi Valmiki who was a sage during the time of Ramayana. It is believed Mata Sita, wife of Lord Rama was given shelter at this place when she was abandoned by her husband after the Lanka Victory. It is also the birth place of Luv and Kush. There is also an ancient tank and the well with the stairs where Mata Sita used to take bath. Maharishi Valmiki wrote Ramayan at this place.
