Rambagh Garden actually was the summer palace of Maharaja Ranjit Singh from 1818-37 A.D. Maharaja Ranjit Singh gave great importance to the beautification of the spiritual and cultural hub of Sikhism, Amritsar. He made many gardens as he was greatly influenced by the Mughal architectures and gardens. He created his own garden and a palace inside that garden which is now known as Rambagh Garden. Now this palace is converted into museum which holds important artefacts from Maharaja Ranjit Singh reign. In this garden one can observe a big black colour statue of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
