The gracious Town Hall building was built in 19th century in Amritsar. The Town Hall building has now been converted into Partition Museum which houses many artefacts related to the history of Partition, the most defining event in the history of sub-continent. It was the largest migration in the human history when more than 20 million people migrated from one country to another. The Museum can be visited between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is closed on Mondays and national holidays i.e. 26th January, 15th August and 2nd October.
