Jang-e-azadi Museum is a memorial site that describes the contribution and sacrifices of Punjabi community during the Independence movement. It is a newly built Museum spread over 25 acre land in Kaprtarpur sub division of Jalandhar district. This young Museum is one of the beautiful mega projects of the Punjab State. As its name Jang-e-Azadi, the memorial glorifies all the Punjabis, who sacrificed their precious lives for the freedom of their motherland. It also glorifies the real picture of Punjabi and Indian culture. The whole architecture of this gracious Museum is designed in a dome shape. The main building is called Shaheed-e-Minar. Apart from this, there is a huge auditorium and 150 seated movie hall where historical documentaries are shown. Open theatre has been built for festive events. Apart from these, 16 an auditorium with 300 sitting capacity, an amphitheater, library, and seminar halls have their individual identity. The site not only makes you aware of India’s struggle for independence; you also enjoy your time by watching 3D movies and by walking down the parks and thematic buildings of this memorial.
