Khooni Khooh is located In Jallianwala Bagh Amritsar. Jallianwala Bagh is a memorial ground that commemorates the many Indians who lost their lives on April 13, 1919, when British General Dyre opened fire on people. When Dyer opened fire, many people, in an attempt to save their lives, while running fell into the well. The water of the well turned red with the blood of the people who fell into the well and died, hence, the name Khooni Khooh or ‘Bloody Well’.
