In the Jallianwala Bagh Amritsar, there is a cremation site right in the centre which is known as Samadh or Samadhi. It is the only original building within the Bagh, which has bulbous dome and the surrounding walls with archways. On the north-facing side of the samadhi there are still marks of the bullets fired by General Dyre’s soldiers. The symbolic memorial monument in the Jallianwala Bagh is towards southern half of the park. It is made of red colour and is a huge column like structure.
