A white marble memorial is constructed outside Jallianwala Bagh in the market square. It seems quite unlike the surrounding buildings, because most of the surrounding buildings despite their recent construction are painted in lime and sandstone colour which give them ancient look. This sculpture is in the form of a flame with human heads in relief. The name of the people who died during Jallianwala Bagh massacre is written on this plinth.
